Square Foot Gardening class Tomorrow!

Don't forget that we're having our first ever FREE community class in the Foothills Learning Garden tomorrow (Sunday, May 19th) at 6:00pm. Bring a portable chair and meet us in the garden to learn about growing plants by the square foot instead of in rows.

Square Foot Gardening class on May 19th

Mark your calendars! A FREE training class in square foot gardening will be taking place in the Foothills Learning Garden on Sunday, May 19th starting at 6pm. Our speaker will spend about an hour explaining square foot gardening and how it works, and then there will be time for questions. This class is open to the public (so bring a friend) and will be great for new gardeners or experienced gardeners who want to make the most of their gardening space. If you'd like to have a place to sit during class, you may want to bring your own chair. We hope to see you there!

Looking for Wall-o-Water donations!

Our school is interested in experimenting with growing tomatoes inside Wall-o-Water insulators. Would you be interested in donating a 3-pack? If you'd like to contribute a pack or two to our garden, feel free to order online and have them shipped to the school. The shipping address is as follows:

Rose Bergles
Foothills Elementary School Garden
825 Allegheny Drive
Colorado Springs, CO 80919

We've got at least 13 tomato plants waiting to go in the ground (purchased from the greenhouse at D20's very own School in the Woods) and we hope to have a few more coming in from garden club families. It would be great if we could get at least half of our tomato plants into Wall-o-Waters, but the more the better.

Thanks for your support!
